  • Freedom in the Mind, Faith in the words …Pride in our souls …

    Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.

    Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School,Madurai. The ceremony started at 9 a.m. in the school open ground with large crowd of staff, students and parents.

    Mr.Karunakaran Assistant District officer –fire and rescue was the chief guest.The school Head  boy Master M.G.Vivek welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest.

    To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the Tamil thai vazhthu and expressed the joy of our freedom.

    Ms.N.Harini of class 9 shared her views on the significance of the day. The students mime group performance on “Life of a solider “ awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother Land. The Chief Guest of the function Mr.Karunakaran is happy to notice that today’s students think about the freedom and its importance. He also distributed prizes for the best performer of Karate Tournament and also for the cash awardees of science expo.

    The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks by Ms.Keerthana of class 10. At the end sweets were distributed to the students. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

  • Krishna Jayanthi was celebrated by the Pre.Kg, LKG and UKG children on 25-08-2016 Friday @ Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School with traditional fervor A Brindhavan Set up was made where the children were dressed as Krishna and Radhai and were made to stand inside. A beautiful prayer with dance was also given by the kids. It was as if Lord Krishna himself had come down to celebrate Krishna Jayanthi.
    A parent Mrs. Mangala Meenakchi Recited Slokas and Stories of Lord Krishna. The Occasion was graced by the school Chairman Sri. M.S.Vadivel.

  • Annual sports Day 2016

    5th Annual Sports Day of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Madurai was celebrated with great pomp and splendor on 27th August ,2016.
    The sports meet was presided by Dr.J.Suresh,Principal,Madura college, Madurai. He was given the guard of honour by the school pupil leader and the leaders of various houses. School Chairman, Sri.M.S. Vadivelu, honoured the chief guest. Principal Mrs.Vijayalakshmi ‘s words of wisdom, especially drawn from her own experience were inspiring and it set the tone for the sports day . All the dignitaries took the salute and the Chief Guest released balloons.

    School Vice Principal Mrs. Hema, presented the annual report, which epitomized the skills and talents of students during the academic year.
    Students showcased their unity, understanding and will-power in the various forms of sports activities. The competitors far exceeded expectations and performed to an exceptionally high standard in all events.
    Chief Guest Dr.J.Suresh distributed prizes to the winners of various sports events conducted earlier and also for scout and guides Rajapuraskar awardees.
    We had a huge range of eye catching displays ranging from LKG to Grade 11.Students unveiled their skills in extracurricular activities like Archery, Silambam, Karate and Gymnastics , which were allures of the day.
    It was an absolutely beautiful day with lots of enjoyment of this spectacular event. Thus by lowering Sports Flag 5th Annual Sports Celebrations came to an end.
    Many thanks to the PE department and the school management for organizing such a wonderful event.

  • Vingayagar Chathurthi

    Vingayagar Chathurthi celebration was celebrated in Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School on 02.09.2016 (Friday) in a grand manner.  The function was presided over by the Principal, Mrs. P. Vijayalakshmi.  The life of Lord Ganesha and the importance of the occasion were depicted through skit, dance and speech by the children.

  • Hindi Diwas Celebration

    Hindi Day is celebrated on 14th September all over India. It was acknowledge as an official language on 14th september 1949. This day is celebrated as “Hindi Diwas”.

    In our MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, Kovilpapakudi, Madurai – 18 Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 15th September 2016 at 2:20 PM, organised by the Hindi Department.

    Programme started with small prayer MRS. VIJAYALAKSHMI, The Principal presided over the function. Various competitions like speech, poem recitation, story telling, essay writing & shayari telling were conducted.

    A Hindi speech and a hindi skit were presented on the topic “Importance of Hindi Language”. MRS. VIJAYALAKSHMI the principal delivered a small speech on Importance of the Hindi Language. Divya supreta of VI A Delivered the vote of thanks.
